Welcome to Meltwater in the Classroom
Since 2001, Meltwater has been creating products and services that harness online technology, positioning the company as a global leader in media intelligence. More than 26,000 organizations in 121 countries rely on Meltwater to stay on top of billions of online conversations to strategically manage their brand and stay ahead of their competition. We call it “Outside Insight.”
Starting in 2017, Meltwater has launched the “Meltwater in the Classroom” program. By offering these products to Universities, students can begin developing the practical skills and understanding of media software they will need upon graduation.

Overview of Meltwater
BRANDING IT TO THE CLASSROOM
For over 15 years, Meltwater has specifically been offering business to business solutions- so we thought, why not get this into the “business professionals' ” hands sooner rather than later?
Now students at top schools around the United States are able to use Meltwater, free of charge.
Meltwater will offer training and consultation throughout the course to make sure students get the best use of the software for their coursework and walk away with a great experience. In 2018, students will be able to take quick courses to gain experience and become certified in Meltwater’s suite of media intelligence products.
BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM
Students gain “real-time” experience using world-class media intelligence tools they will be working with when they enter the workforce.
Professors utilize new technology methods for teaching public relations, communications and marketing, all while gaining access to sample assignments, case studies & real world examples of how our clients use media intelligence tools.
Meltwater works to provide speakers for the classroom on topics such as PR, communications or entrepreneurship, in addition to live trainings to get students set up using the platform.
Stay on top of billions of conversations—across editorial, blog, and social media channels— with Meltwater’s Media Intelligence platform. Our tool efficiently and effectively helps you sift through news stories, social media postings, and shared data on the Web so that you can monitor everything relevant to your brand and company’s operation, both locally and globally.

Hi Students-
Welcome to a new semester! During this class, we will be using a number of different technologies in the classroom, including Meltwater, an online media intelligence platform. Meltwater has been around since 2001, and is now headquartered in San Francisco. With 57 offices globally, the company helps over 25,000 clients track easily stay on top of billions of conversations—across editorial, blog, and social media channels. Over the next several weeks you will learn and become hands on with Meltwater's media intelligence platform.
